Mexico... scared to go

I'm most likely going to go to Mexico in December so if I don't answer that's why. I don't want to go I'm sick and tired of the town we go to. I'm also scared to go b/c of all the crime and assaults b/c we are going top go by car and I'm scared that something will happen so yeah that's pretty bad...
